Orders for items which are in stock will usually arrive within 7 working days from acceptance of order and will be delivered by Parcelnet.
Although we try to keep every product line in stock in our warehouse, we can occasionally run out if we have unusually high demand within a short space of time. In order to keep our prices low, and since we offer free delivery, we usually ship your order once it is completed.
Why is this product online if you are out of stock?
We really are very sorry if you order an item which is delayed due to being out of stock. We always try to ensure that we keep items in stock, so that we can get your order to you as quickly as possible. Keeping items in stock means that we can get orders out quickly, and keeps our customer happy
which also means we make more sales!
Our buying department is dedicated to trying to predict exactly how many of each item (in every combination of size and colour) we need to keep in stock at different times of the year
and they work very hard to maintain sufficient stock levels to meet demand. Sometimes, however, even with the best planning and preparation, our customers do still take us by surprise, and some items may go temporarily out of stock.
We do sincerely apologise if an item that you need is delayed from being out of stock - we want to avoid this happening as much as you do!
Why don't you order more stock?
Our service is free of charge to schools, which means there is always fine line for us between maintaining sufficient stock levels to meet demand, and avoiding holding excess stock. (The most common cause of bankruptcy amongst retail companies is holding too much stock).
When we sign up a new school, there is always an element of learning involved initially, as only with experience can we understand each individual schools own stock requirements. We therefore try to order a realistic amount, but as mentioned above, certain items fly out of the warehouse far quicker than anticipated.
You may be interested to know that we are in the process of implementing a new, automated stock management system. This will greatly improve the efficiency of our ordering process and help us to maintain appropriate stock levels at all times of the year for every school.
We are confident that as we move forward, our new systems will help us to provide the very best levels of customer service to our schools, and their parents.
Why does it sometimes take so long to get more supplies of an item?
We do keep a close eye on our stock levels, and try to re-order in plenty of time if it looks like we will run out. Even so, uniform items can sometimes take a bit of time to reach us.
Items are ordered from our suppliers, and most of these have to be individually embroidered with the schools logo. At certain times of the year (like the Summer holidays), the manufacturers and embroiderers can be busier than normal, which means we may have to wait for longer to get items back into stock.
Once your order has been shipped, we will notify you by email. In the event that your parcel has not arrived within 5 working days from despatch, please contact our Customer Service department or contact 0844 556 5555 and we will begin our missing parcels procedure.
