PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEARLY NAMED.
Our school uniform is as follows:
The pupils of Abbots Ripton wear a simple uniform of black or grey trousers, shorts, pinafore dresses or skirts and pale blue shirts or polo shirts with royal blue sweatshirts. School sweatshirts with embroidered school logo can be purchased. Embroidered pale blue polo shirts and fleeces are also available. During warmer weather girls may wear blue and white striped or checked dresses. It is important that pupils are dressed for school, we would therefore ask that no jeans are worn and no clothes emblazoned with designer labels. Long hair should always be tied back.
Pupils will need a change of shoes so that the carpeted areas of the school are protected, these may be slippers, plimsolls or simply shoes that are kept for indoor use. Indoor shoes may be left in school provided that they are placed in simple drawstring shoe bags and hung on the cloakroom pegs at the end of each day. We ask that all items of clothing should be clearly named. One school sweatshirt looks just like the next and it is time consuming for us tracking down the rightful owners and frustrating for pupils and parents alike when things go missing.
JEWELLERY
Jewellery is not practical in school and must not be worn although pupils may wear watches. Dangling earrings can be particularly dangerous and we ask that studs are worn in school time; these will need to be removed by the child before PE to prevent accidents. The school accepts no responsibility for any watches or articles of jewellery that are brought into school.
