Please Note: To ensure you purchase the correct size for your children there is a range of try-on samples which will be available at the school office on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Principles
Governors expect that all children will wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos. We also believe it is important that certain activities are facilitated by specialised and appropriate clothing when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. We provide a complete list of the items needed for children’s school uniform in this policy and in our school prospectus.
Aims
Our policy for children’s school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:
- promotes a sense of pride in the school
- engenders a feeling of community and belonging
- is practical and smart
- identifies the children with the school
- does not distract from learning
- makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
- is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents
- has been designed with health and safety in mind.
Our colours are royal blue, grey and white and the uniform is as follows:
RECEPTION – YEAR 4
• Royal blue logo cardigan or sweatshirt
• Grey trousers or shorts
• Grey skirt or dress
• White shirt or blouse
• Black, flat shoes (not trainers or slip on shoes)
• White polo shirt
• Black or grey tights
• White or dark coloured socks
• Blue and white checked summer dress
• Blue fleece logo jacket - OUTSIDE ONLY
YEAR 5 – YEAR 6
• Royal blue logo V-neck sweatshirt
• School tie
• Grey trousers or shorts
• Grey skirt
• White shirt or blouse
• Black, flat shoes (not trainers or slip on shoes)
• Black or grey tights
• White or dark coloured socks
Blue fleece logo jacket – OUTSIDE ONLY
FOR PE
Your child will need (in a named bag):
• a pair of plain blue/black shorts
• a school logo blue T-shirt
• trainers for outside PE
• dark blue/black jogging bottoms and a dark blue/black sweatshirt/hoody.
NOTE: All jewellery must be removed for P.E. and Games.
