We are really excited to be having a rebrand of the school name and uniform. We hope you like it as much as we do!
In essence we stand by the same objectives we had under our former name ‘Rough Hay Primary School’. We still endeavour to put the children in our care first and to create a pleasant, secure and happy environment where the children can achieve their best. We aim to generate a caring and positive school community which offers respect and opportunity to all.
The new logo and the three values capture this perfectly.
Belong - our school is a happy, safe and welcoming place where children, teachers, parents and the community work together.
Learn - our school is an inspiring, creative and ambitious place, where we work hard, have high expectations of ourselves and always do our best.
Grow - our school is a kind, nurturing and respectful place, where children flourish as individuals and grow in confidence, independence, resilience and trust.
The colourful leaves on the logo represent that we are all different but all belong at Woods Bank Academy. With this is mind we worked alongside our design company to create a uniform where the pupils can still have an element of choice. All children have five options for the colour of the logo on the back of their school jumper or cardigan.
